2013 SERGEANT/FIRST-LINE SUPERVISOR/INVESTIGATOR COURSE
P.T.S. Announces Our “On-Target” online home-study promotion course to prepare you for the upcoming
SERGEANT/FIRST-LINE SUPERVISOR/INVESTIGATOR
PROMOTION EXAMINATION
scheduled for June, 2013
This 18 session course will start the week of JANUARY 20, 2013.

• LAW ENFORCEMENT METHODS & PRACTICES
New York State Manual for Police (and modern criminalistics and tactical sources)
• READING COMPREHENSION
Paragraph Rearrangement, Sentence Coherence, Reasoning, Judgment and Interpretation
Preparation of Written Materials in a Police Setting
This 18 session course will be comprehensive and will cover all of the topics that will be on your exam!
We also urge candidates for Lieutenant or Captain to take this 18-week course.
IT WILL ALSO BE ON TARGET for your exam!
TUITION: ONLINE HOME-STUDY $30 PER SESSION ($540 for the full 18 session online course) or
$40 PER SESSION payable in 3-session segments ($120 for each consecutive 3-session segment –
ie., Sessions 1, 2 & 3 are a 3-session segment; Sessions 4, 5 & 6 are a 3-session segment, etc.).
Once you register for the course you will have access to the P.T.S. Techniques for Answering Civil Service Questions guide and the course introduction audio lecture (a breakdown of the subject matter areas of the exam, the format and types and questions used by the examiners and how the course will run). The 1st of 18 course sessions will be available to you on January 20, 2013, and each week a new session will be available to you. You will have continuous access to all of the sessions and course materials posted to your account.
