2014 LIEUTENANT & CAPTAIN COURSE
P.T.S. Announces Our “On-Target” online home-study promotion course to prepare you for the 2014
LIEUTENANT & CAPTAIN PROMOTIONAL EXAMINATIONS
(being held this coming September/October)
Police Tutorial Service, Inc. (P.T.S.) will conduct an intensive nine (9) week home-study
course to prepare you for this competitive examination. The course will begin the week of
JUNE 29, 2014 and will end the week of AUGUST 24, 2014.
All sessions include P.T.S. DIGESTS, SUMMARIES, GUIDES, BREAKDOWNS,
PRACTICE QUESTIONS and AUDIO LECTURES covering:
STATUTORY & CASE LAW
Penal Law, Criminal Procedure Law, Family Court Act, Vehicle and Traffic Law,
Ancillary Statutes and U.S. Supreme Court and N.Y. Court of Appeals Decisions
SUPERVISION OF POLICE PERSONNEL
POLICE ADMINISTRATION
LAW ENFORCEMENT METHODS & PRACTICES
READING INTERPRETATION:
This 9 session course will be comprehensive and will cover all areas that will be on your exam!

Once you register for the course, the P.T.S. Statutory Law Digests will be sent to you in the regular mail and you will have immediate online access to the Welcome Session containing the P.T.S. Techniques for Answering Civil Service Questions and the course introductory audio presentation with a breakdown of the subject matter areas of the exam, the reference source texts and how the course will run. Session #1 will become available to you on June 29, 2014, and each week a new online session will become available to you. You will have continuous access to all of the sessions and course materials posted to your account through the date of the exam.
